One of the original Arizona golf resorts, an outstanding historic luxury resort, originally believed to be designed by  Frank Lloyd Wright, and now in dispute. Marriott Camelback Inn Resort

Camelback Inn Marriott resort now, has been a favorite from way back when! An original Scottsdale golf resort, it remains elegant with wonderful food and ambiance. Located in the heart of Scottsdale on Lincoln Road at the base of Mummy Mountain. Their pueblo style casitas are my favorite. A "standard" King size room is large and very comfortable, with small kitchenette with a refrigerator and microwave. The decor beautiful. Even standard rooms are luxurious here! Doubletree La Posada 

La Posada is undergoing renovations to the tune of $100million dollars, it will re-emerge at Montelucia

Doubletree Paradise Valley 

Towering palms, lush foliage and sparkling fountains welcome you to the 22-acre oasis aptly named Paradise Valley.  A totally separate world yet just minutes from the Borgata and  historic 'Old Town' Scottsdale. 


Princess Resort Scottsdale

Scottsdale golf resort home of the TPC golf course and the Phoenix Open, (now FBR Open). Now a Fairmont property, it is built in the Spanish colonial manner and decorated in a stylish southwestern motif, the rooms are huge, exquisitely furnished, and have lavish ceramic tile baths with whirlpool tubs and large separate showers. Many rooms have private balconies or a patio overlooking ponds or desert vegetation. Super restaurants like Hacienda on site.  Close to all the new exciting stores and restaurants on Bell road. Also very convenient to Mayo Hospital New! Water Slide for the kids!

Four Seasons Resort

A Scottsdale Resort for all seasons, located In North  Scottsdale, stay in the midst of the Sonoran Desert with outstanding views and luxury. A top spa and access to Troon North golf. Romantic hide-away! A skyline city view and the smell of  pinon wood burning with the biggest stars overhead will blow you away! Their Crescent and Acacia Restaurants are tops and for a change of venue or just a hamburger - you can go across the road to Greasewood Flats, a throwback to the wild, wild west. The oldest stagecoach stop in Arizona.  Delight in the desert!

Hermosa Inn

An early Scottsdale property, totally redone, a romantic small luxury resort. Quiet and tucked away, but convenient to Downtown Scottsdale and Phoenix. A perfect view of the "Praying Monk" on the nose of Camelback Mountain from the Courtyard (see photo at left). the dining room besides having outrageous food has ambiance to die for. A page right out of the "old" west. 

Hyatt Regency at Gainey Ranch

One of my favorites. Just to walk through the spectacular pool area at night with giant oleanders crowning everything is worth the visit.  The pool area is pretty great during the day as well! There's a sand beach, and a two and a half story water slide for the kids. One of the great Arizona resorts kid friendly, as well as a number one Scottsdale luxury resort. Canals complete with gondolas give an entrancing feel to the desert. You get a free ticket for a gondola ride when you dine in one of their wonderful restaurants, Vu ultimate for gourmet dining and Sunday Brunch, Ristorante Sandolo for great Italian fare and arias with dinner. And now home to a new multi-million Spa Avania with YogaAway™ program. Outstanding mountain views. At night catch the strains of flamenco or steel drums in the lobby. Centrally located and close to the New Shops at Gainey Village.

The Inn at Eagle Mountain

a Unique golf resort, on the Northeast border of Scottsdale in Fountain Hills. The setting is gorgeous...and the golf tremendous. Plus other great golf in the immediate vicinity. A resort with privacy and splendor. You might want to try one of the Theme Suites..
Wild West - Cowboy Items and Memorabilia and  Hacienda - Style of Old Mexico are just two of the choices! All suites have kiva fireplaces, two-person whirlpools. Indulge yourself.

Legacy Golf Resort

Great for golfers! An all suites Scottsdale golf resort, opened in 1999. Complete with an 18 hole golf course, spa treatments, health club, pool and all the amenities. Plus private balconies, kitchen facilities (so you don't have to go out) a restaurant and a lounge. Ambiance, convenience, this place has it all.


Marriott Mountain Shadows has closed and is being turned into a multi-million dollar residential area - sad, but true! The Executive Golf Course remains open.

One of the newer Scottsdale resorts, but already a great favorite. Tucked into McDowell Mountain Preserve, it's a great location for serenity and convenience. If you're coming to town for West World functions, this is a good place to stay.
