Scottsdale Outdoors is definitely where it's at. Having over 300 days of sunshine, is it any wonder that the outdoor recreation is one of the prime reasons so many of us move to Scottsdale.
We can take advantage of all the hiking, biking, day tours, desert and mountain exploration that's right here in Scottsdale. And there is lots to do with the family! It is a real haven for those of us who love to hike or bike. Miles of hiking trails and great rock climbing on mountain preserves. There's boating on some beautiful lakes (yes lakes!) How's that for a desert. Ballooning off into the wild blue yonder can be the perfect beginning or ending to the day. You can get lots of outdoors jaunts in even if you're just here for a couple of days. Some of our links below will tell you just how do that. Scottsdale has guides and tours for every type of outdoor activity. There are biking clubs, skiing clubs, and if you're not into a lots of physical exertion just take the scenic drive up through North Scottsdale. Or picnicking is another great outdoors fun thing to do here (there's hardly any ants!) I'm glad you stopped by this page so Insider Scottsdale can keep you up on what's happening, there are day trips to the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Tucson, and other scenic places. But it's not a penance to stay right here in Scottsdale and play in your own backyard.
We have so many interesting and fun things to do here in Scottsdale, but have you ever considered mountain climbing. McDowell Mountain Preserve - there are some wonderful hiking trails with awesome views, lots of saguaros and wild flowers. You can drive east on Shea Blvd. to 128th Street, go north and park at the end of the road. Then hike to your heart's content.
