Native American influence is part and parcel of the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, and today their casinos dominate some of the terrain. You will definitely get the flavor of Native America when you visit the Heard museum. Founded in 1929 to house a personal collection of cultural art. USA Today describes the Heard as "the nation's most prestigious private Indian arts center."
